Our story

We make blocks that fit each other.

One unit size across every set, so a toy bought at eighteen months still works at eight years.

Purveyor Blocks started because of a loft. Specifically, a loft full of half-sets
of building blocks that no longer worked with anything — each one bought for a
birthday, each one played with intensely for a season, each one retired the moment
the child wanted to build something bigger than the box allowed.

The problem was never the quality of the toys. It was that every set had been
designed as a closed system. The pieces were sized to look good in their own
photograph rather than to work with anything a family already owned.

One decision, everything follows

So we designed backwards from a single constraint: every piece we make must be a
clean multiple of one base cube. A pillar is two cubes tall. An arch spans exactly two
pillars. A jumbo floor block is eight. Nothing is approximately sized.

That sounds like a manufacturing detail. In practice it is the whole product. It
means the $18 starter set and the $149 crate are the same toy at different scales. It
means a set bought for a first birthday is structurally useful when a sibling arrives
four years later. And it means a parent can buy small, find out whether their child
takes to building at all, and scale up without throwing anything away.

What we actually make

Two material families. Solid rubberwood for the hardwood ranges — kiln-dried,
sanded to 220 grit, finished with a water-based non-toxic stain that survives being
chewed, dropped and left in a garden. And high-density EVA foam for the ranges intended
for babies and shared rooms, sealed with a wipe-clean skin, and near-silent on a hard
floor at six in the morning.

Everything is tested to ASTM F963, the US toy safety standard. Sets containing pieces
small enough to matter are labelled 3+ on the box rather than buried in the listing.

How we operate

We are a small operation. Orders are picked and packed at our facility in Sheridan,
Wyoming, and anything ordered before 2pm ET goes out the same business day. There is no
warehouse in another time zone and no dropshipper between us and you — if something
goes wrong with your order, the person who reads the email is the person who can fix it.

Purveyor Blocks is operated by Purveyor of Wellness LLC,
1309 Coffeen Ave Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801. Questions, wholesale enquiries and purchase orders: support@purveyorblocks.store.
